TLDR:
Students will have the opportunity to explore the Theater Design, Technology, and Production Program at an open house at the Center for Performing Arts on February 24. The program offers degrees in fine arts and provides students with technical and artistic skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, communication skills, and work ethic. Graduates have gone on to successful careers in Broadway, cruise ships, concert tours, theme parks, and regional theaters. The program also offers special opportunities such as producing their own productions and working with top directors. Junior Lauren Wyatt emphasizes the importance of communication and collaboration in technical theater. The open house will allow potential students to meet the faculty, staff, and current students and get a glimpse of the program operations.
At the Theater Design, Technology, and Production program open house, students can:
- Explore the world of stage design and technology
- Meet faculty and staff, tour facilities, watch a production of ‘Rent’, and see various roles in theater production
