In a recent budget conference, Lake-Sumter State College secured $5 million in state funding for the development of a Technology Innovation Center on its Clermont campus. The project was requested by Rep. Keith Truenow and supported by college President Heather Bigard, who highlighted the center’s potential to grow enrollment and train students for high-skill, high-wage jobs.
